Maintenance Tips
-
Clean After Each Use: Remove wood chips and dust from the table, infeed/outfeed areas, and cutter head to prevent buildup that can affect cut quality.
-
Inspect Blades Regularly: Check helical cutter head inserts for wear or damage and replace them promptly to maintain smooth, tear-free cuts.
-
Lubricate Moving Parts: Apply light machine oil to the infeed/outfeed table adjustment screws and cutter head bearings if needed to ensure smooth adjustments.
-
Check Belt Tension: Inspect drive belts for proper tension and wear; replace if frayed or stretched to maintain consistent cutter speed.
-
Protect the Cast-Iron Surfaces: Apply a thin coat of paste wax to infeed/outfeed tables and fence to prevent rust and allow smooth movement of stock.
-
Disconnect Power Before Maintenance: Always unplug the machine before adjusting, cleaning, or replacing cutter inserts.
